Where NextCryptoJob jobs come from

NextCryptoJob shows crypto jobs from many places. This page says exactly which places, what we take, and what to do if you run one of them and want something changed.

Employers' own job boards

Most of our jobs come from the public API of the employer's own hiring system: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, SmartRecruiters, Recruitee, Teamtailor, Breezy, BambooHR, Rippling, Personio, Gem, Pinpoint, HiBob, Comeet and Workday. These APIs exist so that open jobs get read and shown. Every such job links to the employer's own page, and the employer gets the candidate.

Other job boards

Some jobs come from other job boards. Three rules hold for all of them:

  1. We name the board on the job card, for example "via web3.career". You do not have to guess who sent the candidate.
  2. The link goes to that board's own page, byte for byte as we received it. We add no tracking parameters of our own.
  3. We take only what the board's terms and robots.txt allow: an official API, a feed, or nothing.

Today these boards are web3.career (their official Web3 Jobs API, links stay follow links), remote3.co (their RSS feed) and the a16z speedrun network (their open API).

Boards we do not read

If the terms of a board say no crawling and no scraping, we do not read that board, even when the pages are public. Among others, we leave cryptocurrencyjobs.co, crypto-careers.com and cryptojobslist.com alone. Pages of web3.career are not read either: only their API.

Our crawler

Our crawler calls itself NextCryptoJobBot/0.1 (+https://nextcryptojob.xyz). It reads public job pages only, one request at a time per site, with at least half a second between requests. It obeys robots.txt. It collects job data, not personal data.
